5 Leadership Lessons on the journey #1

I think that the first thing you need to have if you are going to plant a church is DESIRE. Psalms 37:3-6 says “Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the DESIRES of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and justice as the noonday.”

God gives us desires. They are a good thing and he wants us to fulfill them. As we trust in Him, He puts those things inside of us and as we commit ourselves to Him he brings them to pass. I believe that if we want to get past the ordinary we have to desire the extraordinary. God wants us to have a desire to go deeper with Him and to take others with us on the journey as well.

I have a passion and a desire to plant a life giving church in the Ft. Lauderdale area that will cause others to see the greatness of my God. That they would experience life in the fullness of what it was meant to be, and that is in relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe that God is going to bring it forth like the light of noonday as it says in this verse.
